About us

our school

Our beautiful little school, Sotira’s Preschool Group, is situated in the heart of the northern suburbs. Our classrooms are bright, modern, and equipped with toys that are carefully chosen to inspire our little minds and imaginations.

At SPG, our priority is the happiness of our little ones. We want every child to feel safe and secure and endeavour to create a caring, supportive environment that enables each child to develop and shine.

At Sotira’s Preschool Group, we strive to honour each child’s individual needs. We have four different groups. Groups are: 18m – 2 years, 2-3 years, 3-4 years, Grade RR.

We will only offer micro classes. We focus on providing personal attention to every learner.

The school utilises the A.C.E Curriculum (Accelerated Christian Education) called JOY! Our programme will consist of different themes that will complete early childhood education.

our vision

We believe that a happy child is a successful one. We are committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn, and where they all valued. We strive for learners to become independent and lifelong learners.

our mission

We provide a caring and loving environment in order to equip children to understand their identity in Christ.

Mrs Dimi Kleovoulou, Owner, Principal and Teacher

Hi, my name is Dimi. I opened SPG on the 11th of April 2023!

I’m a passionate mother and teacher. I’ve been inspired by my “little Sotira” to open a small playgroup for children.

I studied at the University of the Free-State and obtained my degree in B.Soc.Sc. I then furthered my studies in PGCE and received my Honors in Support Teaching.

I’ve been teaching for 12 years in prominent schools in Bloemfontein. I have a loving and caring approach towards children.

I strive to be the teacher I would want for my child. SPG will be a safe, Christ-driven area for our children to grow up in and be able to learn through play and movement!

Teacher Thando

Hi, I’m Thando! I’m 30 years old and originally from Port Elizabeth, where I completed my schooling before pursuing Electrical Engineering at Goldfields College. While my career path started in a different field, I’ve found my true passion working with young children, and I’m so excited to be part of the SPG team.

I’ve completed a certified First Aid course through Turtle Life, ensuring your little ones are in safe hands. I’m also thrilled to be starting my Early Childhood Development (ECD) course next year to deepen my knowledge and grow as an educator.

I’m friendly, calm, and dependable and I’m known for being a little goofy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching series, shopping, and staying active. Fun fact: I used to play netball for the Central University of Technology (CUT)!

I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside your little ones and help them thrive!

Teacher Precious

Hi, I’m Teacher Precious! I’m 23 years old and proud to be part of the vibrant team at SPG. I completed my schooling at Bloemfontein South High and went on to study Educare at Motheo TVET College, where I developed a strong foundation in early childhood development. I’ve also completed a certified First Aid course through Turtle Life.

I’m naturally bubbly, energetic, and full of fun and I bring a bold and bubbly spirit to everything I do, which makes working with children the perfect fit for me! I love bringing joy and laughter into the classroom, whether through playful learning, storytelling, or singing songs together. Outside of the classroom (and inside of it too), I enjoy singing, reading, and spending time with loved ones.

I’m passionate about helping children grow, explore, and discover their potential and I’m so excited to be part of your little one’s early learning journey at SPG!

Teacher Cindi

Hi, I’m Cindi! I grew up in the coastal town of Humansdorp and have always had a passion for creativity and care. I hold an Honours qualification in Dietary Nutrition and Spa Management from Elizabeth Beauty School, and I previously owned my own beauty salon. After moving to Bloemfontein, I spent several years working in a psychologist’s practice, where I gained valuable insight into emotional development and support. It was during this time that I discovered my love for working with young children and just fell in-love with the little ones at SPG!

I’m passionate about crafting, working with my hands, and expressing myself through creativity, which I enjoy bringing creativity into the classroom wherever I can. I’m family-oriented and love spending quality time with my daughter and fiancé. While I’m more of an introvert, I enjoy forming meaningful connections and creating a calm, nurturing space for little ones to feel safe and seen. And of course – you’ll rarely catch me without a touch of sparkle, especially in the form of a statement earring or two!

I feel truly lucky to help nurture and guide these little ones during their early years here at SPG!
